Hi plant friends! Looking for some recommendations of types of plants to get for my space. I want to make sure Iā€™m picking ones that are best suited for the environment. I have a west facing window in my bedroom that Iā€™ve got a ton of plants sitting on the window sill currently. I also have a sliding glass door that leads to a balcony thatā€™s a south facing ā€œwindowā€, Iā€™d say itā€™s bright to bright indirect most of the day. Any suggestions for west and south facing window loving plants??? Apartment friendly! :)

    Hi Emmy! Dark leafed Begonias will blossom beautifully and do well in direct sun. If youā€™re interested in veggies, tomatoes in pots would do well on your balcony and produce some yummy results!

    Most plants are good in bright lighting. Think of when you sit under a tree on a sunny day; for most plants that is the ideal lighting. Of course there are some that are more sensitive, but if you acclimate them properly a lot of plants will do well over time.

    I love Chinese money plants, snake plants, zz plants, prayer plants (donā€™t put in harsh lighting), raindrop plants, and you could try some succulents as well!

    Alocasias are my favorite and have such beautiful varieties. I say put it in ur south facing and it will thrive
