Hello, My Philodendron Birkin is growing out small all white leaves which do not turn green. She has been a bit overwatered, leading to wilting, and eventual rotting and falling of leaves. She sits in a south facing window. Besides fixing the watering issue, any other recommendations to get bigger leaves? Should I move her? Thanks!!

Your plants leaves does not have any chlorophyll in it the white ones - which can cause the plant to struggle to photosynthesis.m which the plant will eventually die because of lack of chlorophyll. You could search it up to see if there is any specific thing you should do.z

Though I’ve never owned a Birkin, my guess is too much sun. The leaves turning white is likely a defense mechanism of the plant and it’s scorching the plant. Philodendrons usually like a lot of shade because in nature, they grow up trees. If you put this one near an east or west facing window, it should eventually recover. Definitely watch the overwatering though. They prefer to dry out a bit.

Thanks! I was hoping the white will eventually go green, like the other leaves. Will move to more shade.
