Is it okay to layer pebbles in the bottom of a pot for drainage that does not contain holes? I’ve heard good and bad.

Everything I’ve read said it does not help with drainage. Always use a pot with drainage holes to prevent root rot

You can put plastic cache pot with holes inside of a decorative pot. Just remove the cache pot to water and drain then replace. I also have my husband drill holes in my pots that don’t have them then put dish saucers under them.
