Hi everyone! I could really use some help with my Alocasia Polly. šŸ„ŗ I repotted her two weeks ago, and since then sheā€™s been declining. Leaves that were once firm are now drooping, even the larger ones, and some are turning yellow. I also moved her indoors due to the Florida heat. Sheā€™s now under a grow light with bright indirect light. Iā€™m not sure if this is transplant shock, watering issues, lighting, or something with the roots. Has anyone experienced this? Any advice would mean a lot. Thank you! šŸ’š

    It might not have the support it needs in the new pot for a while until its roots dig back in. You might need to use some chopsticks to support it. It could also just be that itā€™s drying out too fast and needs more watering, definitely check the soil a few inches down.

      Thank you! šŸ¤ I hadnā€™t even thought about the roots needing time to anchor in the new pot. Thatā€™s a really good point. Iā€™ll check the soil moisture a little deeper instead of just the surface and see how she does over the next few days.

    It honestly looks like transplant shock AND lack of light. Iā€™m sorry youā€™re girl is going through it šŸ„ŗ hopefully she just needs time to adapt to her new surroundings šŸ’œ How does her soil look? A humidity tray or humidifier might help encourage her a bit. You may wanna also prune back the super yellow leaves to help her redirect her energy. Best of luck to you šŸ™ I hope she bounces back for you soon!

      Definitely agree with good chance of transplant shock, my cuprea hated the change in environment when I bought it

      The smaller cuprea in the pot is still being moody, I just had to turn it around and see if blasting it with the grow light helps

      Thank you so much! šŸ„¹ I really hope itā€™s just transplant shock. She was recently repotted and also moved from my patio indoors because of the Florida heat, so itā€™s definitely been a lot of changes for her. She now has a grow light, so Iā€™m hoping that helps too. šŸ’œ Her soil is chunky and well-draining, and Iā€™ll definitely remove the yellow leaves once theyā€™re fully spent. Thank you so much for the encouragement!

      Your Cuprea is gorgeous, even if sheā€™s being moody! šŸ˜‚ Mine is definitely giving me the silent treatment right now. I just moved her under a grow light too, so hopefully both of our girls decide to cooperate soon. šŸ¤žšŸ’œ Thank you!!

    Probably just the shock of being repotted and moved around the same time, Iā€™ve been through this and my best advice is to be patient, be caring, and to trust her. Sheā€™s got this more than you realize, and sheā€™ll perk back up soon. Hope you see some progress sooner rather than later!
