Hey friends! Any alocasia experts? This baby used to have about 6 leaves and I’ve had to chop them due to them turning yellow and drooping. I’ve tried planta dr and told over/under watering & lack of fertilizer but what really is it? I repotted about a month ago, is that what’s killing her? 🥺

I had a problem with mine as well, and I determined that the room was too warm and dry. So I moved it to a new location that still got good light, but was cooler, and I mist it every two or three days to improve the humidity.

I recently chopped mine because I thought it was a fungal infection but I’m still not sure alocasias are little beeches n I love them Does this pot have drainage? If not it may be root rot or some type of fungal infection. You could try to use captain jacks fungicide but I’d check the roots carefully (you may throw her into shock)

I think fungal because it sounds slow moving and you still have a healthy leaf. Isolate from your other plants! Also please take my advice as just that advice! Google and confirm because you can see your plant better. Reddit is also a great resource to look at similar pictures and even ask advice

Did the leaves start like this then get brown spots with the yellow around? If so it's likely a fungal infection. And like said, checking the roots isn't a bad idea. And even spritzing them with an antifungal or 1:3 peroxide dilution. Then spray the plant down after pott up. Every 3 days for at least 3x

I hope everyone that has commented can see this. This is how it looked when I first noticed the drooping and yellowing leaves

Gotcha, so these pics look like overwatering and possibly some cold, if it gets drafty at all by that window. And overwatering can lead to fungal infection, which is generally the yellow spots randomly with browning, vs the edges yellowing seen in overwatering.
