I find this one of the more hardy alocasias, so just a nice chunky soil mix, bright indirect light and water when dry. I have a few and this one so far is the only one that wasnโt dramatic when I repotted it lol
2๊ฐ ์ข์์I heard a humidity tray helps since they like humidity. Thoughts?
์ข์์ 1๊ฐYes, a pebble tray or humidifier would be good for it. They do like high humidity. They will let you know the tips of the leaves will get crispy. Happy growing!
์ข์์ 1๊ฐDo not mist the leaves. Alocasia can be prone to bacterial leaf infection infections.
2๊ฐ ์ข์์Hereโs my credentials, but I suggest high humidity (I mist with distilled water and have had no problems with any leaf bacteria or fungus so if you have to mist I would say itโs not the worst thing in the world) I let the soil dry out more than my other plants since they hate sitting in wet soil! I like to do a very chunky mix for soil and I also suggest wiping the leaves more often than other plants since they loveeee the bright indirect light. Best of luck!!! Happy gardening!!
์ข์์ 1๊ฐI did switch to a humidifier eventually but misting in the short term I think is fine!!
์ข์์ 1๊ฐI see one comment on here saying that this is one of the hardier alocasia types. I have to say Iโve had 100% the opposite experience with that, and I actually find this to be one of the most dramatic alocasias I have lol as long as you use a chunky, well draining soil, be very diligent about consistent watering, and make sure not to let it get water logged, it will be happy though
3๊ฐ ์ข์์I would agree with you as someone with over 30 alocasias. The roots are extremely sensitive compared to others based on my experience.
