Hello šŸ‘‹ Iā€™m new to the plant world, always loved flowers and plants but never had the chance. Iā€™m hoping to be very involved with my lovely plants, have 10 of them so far šŸ˜ŠIā€™ll be heading away on holiday for a week on Tuesday and Iā€™m just wondering what should I do about watering them. I have monsteras, alocasia, spider plant, calathea white fusion, cordyline, aloe, tradescantia, peace Lilly etc. I donā€™t want them to die, I will be giving them keys to a friend and should I let them water them or would they be ok for one week šŸ„ŗthank you so so much šŸ˜Š

    They should be fine for a week. Itā€™s a safer bet than having someone who doesnā€™t know anything about plants potentially overwater them.

      I was thinking that, some plants will need to be watered right before we go but some wonā€™t, Iā€™m just worried they might die on me as Iā€™m a newbie as well šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø although I did hear that itā€™s easier to save under watered plants rather than over watered. Thank you so much for your comment šŸ˜Š

      Youā€™re a good plant mama to worry but I promise they wonā€™t die one you. They might give you the stink eye when you get back until you give em a drink but theyā€™ll get over it. Builds character šŸ˜‰

      If youā€™re REALLY worried or if youā€™re ever traveling more than a week, you can get little self watering inserts. The OG kind are called ā€œollasā€ - made of terracotta and slowly releases moisture. They make them in all sizes/shapes. But theyā€™re all lots of different kinds out there, same concept and some are pretty cute.

    You can add a caretaker in the app, they canā€™t change stuff it just lets them know what and when the plants šŸŒ± need something!! Send them an invite to be caretaker and have him download the app!! Thatā€™s what I do!!
