So I just ordered a variety of flower seeds and was wondering if anyone could inform me on how to correctly germinate seeds , and key tips. Are heating mats necessary? Should I directly place seed in the same size depth of the seed itself and water it occasionally, or is there any other method of growing. I’ve seem to failed a peat moss pallet. Sowed seeds in a self watering container I bought from Lowe’s for under 14 dollars , didn’t seem to get any growth . Let it sit for 2 months . And nothing

All i do is wet a paper towel till its slightly damp, place seeds ontop, cover with another damp paper towel, put into a ziplock and zip shup than play the waiting game and when you see good growth plant into a tiny pot or into soil

I just tuck them into the coco pellet. Make sure there's bright light. A seed mat will help, ideally one with a thermostat so they don't overheat (unless you know your house temp is steady) vivosun makes a nice one.

I tend to let seeds sit around a bit... aka i forget about them lol I just learned a new technique from PCT for older seeds.... of taking 1:19 peroxide + 1% sugar. Let the seeds soak 1-2 days. He mentions they may already be sprouted at 48hrs. And keep scoffed, but some were, it's crazy.
