Hullo! I was wondering how I would increase the humidity for some of my plants which prefer it higher. I’ve read that misting isn’t great for them, so I was wondering what you guys do? (Also side note, if anyone can recommend a good grow light which isn’t too expensive, I’d be very grateful!) Thank you very much :)

My plants that like higher humidity are in my bathroom, or I have a cheap amazon greenhouse and I put a Rubbermaid container with water on the bottom shelf to keep up the humidity. I also have some cloche’s I have found at the dollar store. I like Sansi grow lights, which I find on Amazon.

I know some people will plug in a humidifier near the plants with higher needs.

Yes misting is pretty much useless. Just makes you feel like you’re doing something to help your plants. You need a room size humidifier. I have my tropicals in a corner to help contain the humidity. Get yourself a humidistat to check moisture level. Most plants want about 50%. Most are cool mist type but then you are stuck buying distilled water all the time. Filter may work. Not sure how people do it. I have an RO system so I use that. Grow lights, I recommend Sansi or Barrina. If you have a fixture, bulbs are available at very good prices. I have found that most inexpensive grow lights are a waste of money. They are not bright enough. The reviews may be good, but those reviews are usually from buyers that have no idea what a bright grow light is.

Thank you so much everyone, I’ll look into everything you’ve said. I’m relatively new to plants, so I’m very grateful for the help!
