She’s growing a new leaf after shedding all but one leaf before winter. I’m super proud and excited to see scruffy grow more leaves. Anything I can do to help encourage more leaves on the stem?

cherrbear🐻hooray! ficus love a ton of light so i’d recommend putting her in a very bright spot, that spot near the window in the old photo seems good! i’ve had surprising results with keiki paste! it’s a growth hormone in wax form & it helps encourage growth in places where the plant probably wouldn’t re-grow leaves on its own, like further down a stem. you score under the nodes & apply a bit of it & wait. after a few weeks you hopefully will see some new growth! i’d try 2-3 nodes at a time so you don’t overwhelm her. i’d also suggest making sure she’s getting good fertilizer now that she’s working on new leaves 😊

Ouuu yes I’ve heard about that but now I will try it! Thank you so much for your help! I’m super excited! Yes she sits in the window I took her away just so she doesn’t fry her new leaf. I will put her right next to the window so she still has bright indirect light!
