Hey guys! I’m in yolo county, California, and it’s really hot here. I water my plants regularly following a 3 day schedule, but I think my plants are still having a hard time with the heat despite me moving them to partial shade for 3-6 hrs of sun. Should I up the frequency of water? Should I gently spray them on the two days I don’t water them? I don’t want to over water them and drown them, but my plants don’t seem to be enjoying global warming. Any tips?

If they’re in the sun avoid misting or spraying them, since it could burn the leaves, and water them once the top 1-2 inches of soil dries up

If they seem to not be doing good with that, just go back to your normal schedule!

I live in Yolo County too. I water every day for in ground plants or two or three for pots. For me, sun is more of a factor than water. I water at the roots because wet leaves can burn too easily, like a magnifying glass.
