Trim off any black or dead traps with clean scissors to prevent mold. Check for overwatering (mushy crown) or lack of sunlight. Use only distilled water, rainwater, or reverse osmosis water. Tap water often has minerals that will kill them over time. Keep the bottom tray filled with water (like you have) so the soil stays moist but not soaked. Don’t let it dry out, they hate that. Consider giving it a boost with better lighting or moving it outside during the day. It needs at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day (more is better). This will also help with feeding, since there aren’t many bugs indoors (hopefully).

I have mine in carnivorous dirt, not moss and I keep it watered with a catch pot of distilled water. Hope that helps.

if you got these from a big box store like lowes, and they came in the strange plastic box, both of them will die. if not, replant them in actual carnivorous soil, the sphagnum might be retaining too much moisture.
