I need a list of plants you guys personally hate so i can avoid them, so what has made you struggle the wost? [except FLF's lol]. I went to my home town today and just had a field day repotting my mom's houseplants. I forgot that I hate burros tail sedum with a burning passion while I was repotting 😭. Never again.

I’d have to say tradescantia/inch plants. I have one, and it’s grown like two feet in the year I’ve had it. But it just loses so many damn leaves. Doesn’t seem to matter how much or how little I water it either, or the lighting. Obviously it’s growing so much so it’s not suffering too badly. I think it might just be a quantity over quality type of plant. I’ll keep mine and take care of it best I can, but I’ll definitely never get another one

Was going to say this. I had a tradescantia zebrina and it looked great at first. But within a year, they just become long and unsightly. In some places, they’re invasive plants which makes sense. As you say, doesn’t matter how much you water or what light you give them, they’ll always be tangled, ugly weeds that will need chopped up now and then.

Love snake plants and calatheas, but I will have many against this, but for some reason I have never liked Hoyas. I’ve tried them but just don’t understand the appeal. The flowers are usually very nice though.

I think the love for Hoyas is that they are so easy to care for generally and some of them have amazing looking foliage. Personally, I think it’s cute watching them shoot out vines looking for something to climb on. Then two vines naturally find each other and twirl together.

I also love snake plants and calatheas. My calathea makoyana was one of my first plants.

I'm sure this is all been very helpful to you!:) I love calatheas but I find them very temperamental to grow so it's kind of a love-hate relationship. I think you really depends on your home, if you can find it's happy place it will do well.

I've been so into prayer plants lately and I'm creeping on the path towards calathea but I'm trying to avoid it at all costs 😭 I currently have a marantha and ctenanthe!

It’s funny how personalized plants can be. I have three calatheas and a maranta and the only one that has given me issues so far is the maranta. 😆

Get the Makoyana it’s very forgiving and the leaf pattern is hypnotic 😆 But the rattlesnake one is a good one too because it’s so easy to please

For me prayer plant has been much easier than calathea

bear's paw succulent!! their leaves are so easy to knock off, and feels impossible to make up for it by propagating! mine ended up dying along with all its leaves. I love succulents though, theyre very easy to take care of, and theyre self sufficient for the most part!
