Hello! Two of my anthurium babies have put out flowers for the first time!! My question is how would I go about breeding these plants? Or would I be able to open the flowers for seeds? My research has been inconclusive lol, thank you in advance!

once one of them has gone to pollen, usually a week or two after opening, you can cut it off and use it to fertilize the other flower if it's still in the female phase. if they've emerged at the same time pray one of them is faster than the other lol. if they go to pollen at the same time, save the pollen by cutting off the flower and dumping the pollen into a ziploc, label it and keep it in your freezer. should be good for about 8 months

How can you tell when it’s gone into the pollen phase? One has bloomed later than the other

it gets these weird looking spots (not my picture, swiped off of reddit) that eventually become very powdery as the pollen matures. once you're able to knock pollen off with a little shake, it's ready for using or collecting
