I just bought this plant and want to pot it in this glass container. Do you think it will live? I don’t really want it to grow bigger, so I’m ok if this stunts its growth. Thank you in advance!

Chey GuyI’m sorry but that’s a desert plant and it will not tolerate the high humidity or stagnant air well.

PhilI would “go for it”. It looks like one side is open. If you have the space in depth, put down thin layer of leca. Use an almost totally non-organic soil. Maybe about 10% organic. Just watch it closely for over or underwatering. There are terrariums in the Planta search bar. Chose the open terrarium selection. Do not mist this plant. I have a few open terrariums, but with tropical plants. Just realize the app may need to adapt to your plants personal watering schedule.

NikillerI would maybe split up some individual plants from the bunch and plant a couple instead of the whole thing. The problem wouldn’t be stunted growth it would be a mix of space to grow and competition in such a small area. The plants will keep growing as long as they have what they need to so providing such a small space will cause the plant to grow against the sides eventually and cause health issues

ABagelIt will be fine. I would make sure it gets super bright sun/heat to counter balance humidity on watering day. Water regularly but I kind of want to say underwater to slow growth to be able to keep it in this container for as long as possible before it outgrows it. Whenever it does outgrow it, you can probably propagate and keep some still in this container. Don’t listen to the haters trying to dissuade you. Enjoy this plant in this specific container!
