Hi! I'm new to plants, only download this app because I got a rubber tree plant from a garden centre as it was reduced and I've spent the last 2 days doing research on it. Overkill? yes, though I've only ever had a sunflower before that died when I took it camping (Bad decision but I didn't want to miss it blooming). Just wanted to share my plant (Named him Jim Halpert because I love the office) and see what the community is like. Thank you so much for reading! Have a lovely day, Fin :)

Hi Fin, is it Fin? First, welcome to this community. It looks like you have a “Fiscus Shivereana Moonshine” when I see the glossy leaves. A good find, congratulations. I tend to think it’s not a “Jelly plant”. I will try to add pics for ref of each.

Taking your sunflower camping with you is the funniest, most wholesome, story I’ve ever heard. I love that! 😂 Little Jim is so cute and seems off to a great start! They like branching if you snip the top and grow fast. Once he’s older he’ll start to bark up and become more of a tree or bush depending on how you let him grow. This is my little Ficus Moonshine 😊

@iBenchbuses And a very beautiful F. Moonshine indeed! Way cool did you bush it up through trimming or is that more than one plant?

Thank you so much!! I ended up bushing it up through trimming and managed to get a trident 🔱 formation and then trimmed those three tops as well. The only thing I will warn on, is the elastic sap getting onto the leaves. It staines the leaves and is just generally not aesthetically pleasing to look at covering your plant. Besides that have fun and enjoy your plant baby’s journey and welcome to the Planta Family!!
