This baby spider plant has glorious roots now and my question is which pot? I’m leaning to the smaller one, but is that wise? Thanks for you help!

I would wait until you see secondary roots coming off those roots before putting it in soil. My tip is to find a small 2”-4” nursery pot (clear if you can find one) and then put that inside the other pot. It will help if you decide to bottom water, air flow and in a clear nursery pot you can actually see what the roots are doing.

i have found it easy to just soil prop these — they’re quite good at it; it’s how they spread in nature. smaller pot for sure. mine is in a mixture of peat, perlite, and orchid bark and doing really well

Smaller pot to avoid root rot from sitting in a large pot of wet soil too long. It’s more than ready to plant now. Spider babies are resilient with any length of roots. So, putting them directly into soil and skipping water propagation works just fine, as eatyacrabs stated. Se my pic. All are soil propagation. Well draining soil is best. Let the soil dry completely before watering.

I tried that and this baby nearly died, so I water propagated it and it came back. Just want to make sure I don’t almost kill it again
