After 4 weeks of mealy bugs and using alcohol and q-tips, I finally got some insecticidal soap. Gave her a bath and spray last night. I hope this puts an end to these pests. She has still had new growth. She is still healthy. Just hate quarantining her.
Never tried this yet, but I read a simple, nontoxic bug repellent: just mint leaves & water (soak, strain, then spray) you can use it on plants, around your house, etc.

To eradicate mealy bugs, I have a routine. I have many succulents which these bugs seem to love. Over the years I have developed a routine that has been working well. Quarantine for three weeks. Do the alcohol/swab thing. And then spray with bug killer. I use Systemica which also gets absorbed into the plant. I then check and spray every three or four days for three weeks. This covers all life stages of the mealy bug.
