My dad just gave me this plant and it doesn’t look like it’s doing too well. Any advice?

    Looks like a prayer plant to me! As long as the leaves feel firm in their position (not floppy) it looks good to me in this picture. They will close their leaves to upright position or “pray” when the sun starts to go down. I don’t have this particular player plant so I cannot give advice on care but search up the triostar stromanthe(not sure of spelling here?) and see if this matches for more specific care info😁

    How much light is it getting? Mine wasn’t happy until I put a grow light on it. I also water once the top two inches are dry. And I agree that it’s a stromanthe triostar

    It looks like a Triostar stromanthe ! They love high humidity and bright indirect sunlight

    Yes, it definitely looks like Triostar Stromanthe. It’s lovely! They are sensitive to salts in water so best if you can use rainwater, filtered water or distilled water for watering and misting. And don’t let water linger in its drainage tray/ saucer. Once I changed the type of water for mine I saw a big improvement! And I second the previous comment on indirect bright light. Good luck!
