Something has been eating my summer annuals, especially the flowers of my petunias, and my calibrachoas. I have found several of these little caterpillar-like creatures in the plants, and wonder if these are the little buggers that are destroying my lovely plants. Can anybody ID them; if so, what is the best method of getting rid of them? TIA for your welcome suggestions! 🤗💚🪴

Thanks for your return post. One more question… Is this considered a chemical or natural antidote? 🤗💚🪴

It works like neem oil but won’t burn the leaves and doesn’t hurt bees 🐝

Thuricide BT Caterpillar Control concentrate is used by organic gardeners and is made from bacteria that is toxic to listed pests. Safe to use on all plants, vegetables and edible crops

Thanks for your return post! Thuricide BT sounds interesting; I’m going to check it out. I can check out the label, but can you tell me, does it do the same things that neem oil does, such as treat funguses? 🤗💚🪴

No, I use copper for that. Captain Jack makes a good copper spray for fungus. I don’t use neem oil on my garden plants, it just doesn’t seem to do anything

That’s the likely culprit. Just remove them and toss them far away or in the pond to become bird/frog food and complete the circle of life. 😁 No chemicals needed.

If they’re tasty, why give them to the birds and frogs… I’ll just toss them into my my salads,😝! Just kidding…but, it’s a great idea! Thanks for your return post. 🤗💚🪴
