Hey everyone! I wonder if you could help me with this peace lily plant…am I supposed to cut the leaves that have turned brown at the tips? I think I’ve overwatered it, but have now repotted it and I’m careful with not watering it too much! I noticed a new leaf so I can’t be doing that bad looking after it but quite a few of the leaves have brown tips and I’m sad ☹️ Thank you kindly 🌱

If it’s green, then the leaf is still feeding the plant. You can trim off the tips, if it bothers you. Otherwise, I’d leave it until a few more new leaves pop up. Anytime I over or under water my peace lily, this happens. It always rebounds. Good luck!

The outer ceramic pot is a bit tall for the plant pot. Soil can dry slower without good air circulation around the top. I recommend raising the plastic pot higher inside until the rim of the plastic pot is even (or higher) with the rim of the ceramic pot for better circulation. The picture shows my Shooting Star hoya, hoya multiflora whose soil took days longer to dry out compared to plants of the same size and soil mix near it. I lifted it higher in the pot with packing styrofoam. I use what ever is handy and can fit so I can use my cute ceramic pots!😁

I think this is really great advice. Mine was taking forever to dry out and was really struggling. Made some adjustments to pot size and light now she’s thriving. For me, if a peace lily doesn’t require watering at least once a week, then I’m not providing the proper environment.

It can be level with the rim of the pot for aesthetics. I just used the large block of foam in the pot to exaggerate the point.

I’m glad you figured out the best configuration and care. It’s a struggle sometimes because we seem to be doing everything right and the plant doesn’t respond.
