Hello! I was looking at my Syngonium today and realized… I’m pretty sure it’s two different varieties. Got it from a friend about 6-7 months ago and am now realizing it doesn’t all look like the same plant. Some leaves are true to the variety I previously believed was the only one in the pot, but others are just a green with dark green. Any idea what’s going on here?

Syngonium can vary widely on the same plant. Plus the emergents are often different

The color variations are normal especially on younger plants. The differences in color can be more pronounced on plants getting plenty of light.

I should clarify- I got it 6-7 months ago, and it was already fully grown- the person I got it from wanted me to try and revive it, since it was half-dead. Another reason I had been thinking it was two diff plants is the way the stems seperate- but certainly could just be the way the Syngonium is.
