Hi everyone, Seasoned momma and brand new plant mom here. So I just got these plants last week and the week before that, I’ve already watered all of them. What should I do now? When do I repot? What kind of soil will I need? Plants in picture: 2 golden pothos 2 neon pothos 2 Prince of Orange philodendrons 2 baby blue eucalyptus 1 silver sword philodendron 1 lemon balm Advice and suggestions appreciated. Also 4/10 plants will be in my daughter’s room occupying their window, freeing up space in my window.

Love the plant stand! I’m new to the site, and quickly learned this app is amazing. I added all 44 of my plants, and it let me know which were too close to the window and which were too far away and things I needed to change. I’m very impressed so far. Also, there is a wealth of knowledge with people here to help along the way.

No expert here but I’ve had my pothos for about over a year now, they’re fairly easy to take care of ! Any indoor potting mix with good drainage works well. As for repotting I just repotted mine when she looked too big for her pot and wasn’t growing a ton 😅 water about every week and a half and my girl is thriving 😁 I’ve also read they can bald more on top if they’re not getting good sun on top ! Hope this helps 💚

I don’t have experience with lemon balm and eucalyptus, so I would recommend researching care online. For the others, they can be potted in a very well draining potting mix. For watering, I let them dry out completely, and I give them bright indirect light. Hope this helps!

as a plant parent with like 50 plants, started over quarantine, depending on the plant they’ll tell you exactly what you need automatically. you’ll notice patterns with your plants as they continue to grow. For example, I don’t use a watering schedule at all. I just wait until they start drooping because that’s usually when they need water. I’d suggest fertilizing in the spring months and paying attention to how dry or humid it may be where your plants are. Some plants really depend upon humidity to thrive. don’t mind one yellow leaf now and then, sometimes nature just takes its course. repot when you notice their leaves get yellow, and they stop growing. With pothos, they’ll tell you when they need water. With philodendrons, just let them dry out in airy soil. and always come back to planta when u need help 😂
