What type of plant this is would help. Also, depending on what platform you're using Planta: on iPhone if you water early it'll ask you if you're watering because it's dry or another reason and will adjust the schedule somewhat accordingly; on Android it doesn't ask why you've watered early but I don't know how it adjusts the schedule other than just moving the schedule based on the day you've watered. In any case, depending on the type of plant it is in that picture, read up on the conditions that make it happy using the articles on your plant (usually found at the bottom of the care page) to give you an idea of whether it needs to be kept moist, let the top layer dry, let completely dry, etc. before watering. The Planta app is great for reminders, but is by no means flawless in knowing exactly all the environmental factors in your home leading to your plant's thirstiness! Good luck!
0 LikesYou could also take a chopstick and poke holes all around it to break up the soil. Might be able to better assess the dryness level that way
0 LikesI’m wondering if the soil is becoming hydrophobic and you need to water in more quantity rather than frequency
2 LikesI agree that the soil looks hydrophobic. You need to either change it or give it a good soak by bottom watering.
