Hello plant community! I have a couple of spider plants and a pothos baby growing in my fish tank. The two spider plants were small with not much growth when I added them now they are thriving one has a leaf that is an inch wide. Their root systems are huge and healthy. I’ve seen a lot of people say that it is better for spider plants to live in water, and that they can live in water long-term with fertilizer and proper care. What I’m concerned about is if I transfer these two to soil that they will wilt and lose their health and the roots will get smothered by the soil. I’ve gone back-and-forth for a while. I really want these plants to grow really big and continue to be healthy but my question is if I transfer them to water only pots will they still remain just as healthy? I would appreciate any tips even if it’s just adding fish tank water when I do fish tank changes instead of you know my normal plant water. I would appreciate any advice because I really want these plants to grow and thrive bigger than they are now, and I’d like to be able to move them to another place in my room and propagate more babies from them, but my struggle is fear of their beauty and health being compromised. Thank you so much for any help.
