Update: I got holes drilled in the bottom and let all the water drain out. Brought her back inside and have her sitting on cinder blocks with a fan blowing on her to keep the air circulating. I have an organic fungicide on the way that I will treat her with to hopefully save her from getting root rot. Crossing my fingers for her! 🤞🏻 Also my cat is keeping her company, lol

Yours looks so green and full! All my leaves keep turning yellow and then brown and just fall off. I don’t know what I am doing wrong

Well idk how long that will last, no drainage and a torrential downpour equals a severely waterlogged plant! Ours did have that same problem. I had it out in full direct sun (Central FL), and the leaves started yellowing and dropping off. So I moved it to only getting full direct sun the first half of the day and the leaves stopped yellowing. Now just hoping that is doesn't get root rot from sitting in mud from all that rain!

I’m hoping your recovers well! I’m in Southern California and my plant is outside and only getting evening sun but maybe I need to look into repotting it as maybe it’s getting too much water.

Oh ok, yeah I have read that either too much or not enough water can cause that problem as well. This is my first gardenia, so I'm not super experienced with them yet! Good luck to you and your gardenia!
