New spider plant Mommie here!! Any tips or info on how to keep her beautiful like she is now are much needed and welcome!! I know they say you can’t kill it, easiest plant to care for ever but those are the ones I habitually have zero luck with!! She seems to be full of pups, do I leave them alone or remove and propagate…. Yeah I’m lost with this!!

Keep it in your brightest room, but far from a window. Water when it feels light and liquid feed once a month!

ooo beautiful!!!!! i like the look of the babies hanging off… but when the pups get kind of big i’ll take them off & propagate them in water. i think it’s a personal aesthetic preference:) i have wayyy too many spider plants cuz i feel bad tossing out the babies 😂

i’d also guess that the main pot your plant is in is multiple spider plants. you could separate them if you’d like to spread them out around your home

Awweee, that’s like me!! My bestie and me are trying to start a little plant propagation company. I love doing it so why not make a couple extra dollars for more plants!! lol 😂

ehhh.. your plant looks crazy healthy. “too big” for me is like the longest leaf of the baby being like 8 inches. or if i notice the mother looking sad because she’s giving out too much energy keeping the babies alive. again, it’s definitely a personal preference

Wow, from the picture, it looks like there are a lot of pups. I took about 5 pups from my MIL and propagated them in water until they grew roots then planted them in soil. This is mine today. They like a lot of indirect light. And I agree that they’re pretty easy. 🙂

Yeah it sure does it’s like everywhere you touch it’s a pup!! My niece pulled a pup off on the way home, little stinker, so I guess that will be what I’m up to tonight is reading on propagating at least the one she pulled off, that is of I can find it, it’s so dang thick I looked for it once already but couldn’t find it, maybe this time I’ll have better luck!!

Since you have so many pups, select largest ones and cut the stem close to the pup. I used a styrofoam to cut out small holes for each pup and put them in water. You can use root drops if you want. This is how mine started. Change out water every so often.

I do use root drops!! These are what I’ve always used. I also use that when I’m repotting and it helps with the shock ⚡️
