my bird of paradise hasnt pushed out a new leaf since may, what could be the cause for this and how can I fix it?

      I downsized her pot like around a month ago, the old one was wayy too big

    Hi, what I noticed with my bird, it would curl its leaves up as I tried to get it used to a brighter sunny spot, because I thought it needed a lot of light, but it got stressed. I moved it a little further back and it's doing better. But also make sure it's getting a lot of humidity, which may help with the leaf curl. I don't normally like misting my plants, but I occasionally do it with my bird.
