Hi, how can i get my pothos to become more full? It has grown longer from when I first got it but not getting the fullness i see in so many others

    Chop and prop! Then repot the propagations into the soil after they grow good roots in water. Also you should be making sure it gets enough sunlight on all sides

    Or you can snake the vine back around in the pot and pin it down. The nodes will grow in from there

    Cut it up between each node and replant them all back into the pot, it’ll take time but you’ll have a way more full plant. Or if you don’t wanna waste time with cutting forever, you can just wrap the vines back up in the pot, bury the vine, and leave the leaves above the soil. Technically though, pothos are a climber and get massive leaves when they can grow aerial roots and grow vertically.

      Yes, I have seen the giant ones that grow up. I fell in love with them that way but dont know if im capable if growing them like that yet lol

      Ignore the weird situation for the planter right now, it’s draining from its watering. Anyways… I wanna see the albo dragons tail pothos in this planter with the golden pothos give me a leaf the size of my dog so I’m giving it a shot with this moss pole. Obviously this isn’t gonna do crap for now but I want to to establish those aerial roots into something first and then when I can handle it, I’ll get it set on a floor planter with its own lights. For now, hanging planter, crooked moss pole, bamboo sticks, and way too much golden pothos

      Its so pretty! So question, will a board work similar to a moss pole? I have heard good things but I dont feel comfortable or knowledgeable about them enough to try one

      They can grab onto anything sturdy and supportive, the main difficulty is to never move the plant around so it uses the aerial roots to grab on. If you’re constantly picking it up and moving it to water it, the plant can feel the movement and knows it to grab on, which is why using a moss pole works differently, the aerial roots still explore but when they meet consistent moisture with oxygen flow, they still get that vertical growth stimulation from aerial roots, but the aerial roots just develop normal roots inside the moss instead of more aerials. I move my plant to water it and so it won’t ever grab anything
