    They are HEARTBREAKERS! I’ve kept a few alive thru the winter. I keep looking at others cause they are SO PRETTY. I’m just not ready to commit

    I feel your pain! I have a couple that I struggle with and for that reason won’t add any more to my collection…they’re drama queens! 🫅 I’m sticking to Hoyas! 🫶🏻

    Trick I found is light. Don’t be fooled by the shady conditions Planta tells you they’re good for. They need far more light than Planta app tells you. I moved both my sick rose painted calathea and velvet calathea into my east facing window and they both get some morning direct sunlight and are now extremely happy. You do need to make sure you water them frequently though esp the velvet as calathea don’t like dry conditions.
