Hey plant fam. So I bought a Cebu blue pothos and it had root rot. I tried to propagate all of the. Tried water, tried leca, tried humidity dome and all the leaves died off and nothing took root. Rn I have these node cuttings and still no roots and it’s been over a month….do I give up, what am I doing wrong!!!!

Pothos will propagate well in all the potting mix you mentioned and water. The leaves on the cuttings can die off. It’s normal since the roots are gone when you cut it. Leave the cutting in the medium and allow it to grow in bright light preferably a grow light. Keep in a warm spot. Roots should appear in two weeks. Fertilize once roots appear. Plant when roots reach 2 inches. New leaves are emerging from the cuttings. That’s a good sign. The soil should be evenly moist and not too wet to avoid root.

I do have them under a grow light, and in the soil medium but it’s been multiple weeks and there aren’t any roots, I keep it moist and warm as well.

Ensure the grow light is about 1 foot from the cuttings. Try putting some of them in a small container of water. Place the node under water. Clean the water weekly. See my photos of my arrowhead plant cuttings with one node each. I put several in a jar. All the leaves are new growth. They are in the kitchen and sitting above the dishwasher where it’s warm. You can try adding rooting hormone powder to the water and soil to promote root growth. It’s messy in water because the powder is hard to blend in. But, it works.

The rule of ‘easy care’ goes out the window for me with Cebu Blue. I swear that variety hates me. I feel for you. 😥

I hope this isn’t the case for me. It’s really such a beautiful plant 🥲

I would try adding rooting hormone! It looks like they have sprouts coming from the nodes, so it’s possible they are putting all their energy into that instead of rooting.
