I know they say houseplants don’t hate you, you’re just not meeting their standards. But I ordered a 4 pack of Calatheas once and one died almost immediately. I’m convinced it saw its new surroundings said “absolutely not” and checked out.

    Hahahaha đŸ™ŒđŸŒ this post, you are NOT alone lol, I feel like we all have that one plant(s) that we’ve tried once, twice, three, four times to grow and it just packs its bags and says deuces. Calatheas are such a finicky princess plant, I’ve seen too many friends slave away trying to grow them and it never works or just barely does 🙄

    Same! I almost had several plants peace out on me. Like, why do some plants just hate me!

    Omg yes! Especially if you get plants from grocery stores and hardware stores A lot of grocery stores just don’t water the plants at all, so the roots die, then you bring it home & water it and you get root rot. But it wasn’t your fault in the first place. Or they over-water the plants which can obviously cause root rot as well.
