Is this a bud??? I’ve had this hibiscus for 15-ish years. She used to bloom regularly but has not bloomed in about 10 years. I’d be SO excited for her to bloom again!!!!

Looks like it to me!
0 LikesLooks like it to me too. They like south or west facing locations with full direct sunlight and warm even hot temperatures to bloom every year. They also like fertilizer for blooming shrubs. I used to grow the plate sized hibiscus in 18” wide pots. They got 10 hours of hot Texas sunshine every day. Unfortunately, freezing weather killed them when I was out of town. Note, many varieties only bloom on new growth. You may have to prune off half of the length from branches in late fall or in February. Some older varieties produce flowers from old growth wood. You have to minimize the pruning on these types of hibiscus. 🌺
1 LikeShe’s in an east facing window and gets good morning sun. We don’t get good sunlight from the west or south☹️. I’ve been fertilizing her regularly and did prune her recently too. I can’t wait so see what she does🤞
1 LikeI agree, the time you prune hibiscus can be critical to whether it blooms or not. Do little research on your specific variety to see whether it blooms on old wood or new wood. It makes a big difference. I also agree they like fertilizer during the growing season they really suck up the water and fertilizer. I would not hesitate to fertilize it every time you water with a mild to moderate strength mix of fertilizer and water.
1 LikeYou may have to add a grow light running 12 hours a day to get more light on it. 🪴🍀
