LOTS of Humidity (I’m talking like 40% min) I keep my anthuriums at 90%, but plan on acclimating them down once they reach a certain size! Bright in direct light! At least 8-10 hours of filtered sunlight or 12-14hours of a 6000 lumen grow light Correct watering! Make sure that her soil stays evenly moist and not wet or dry ever! These plants hate drying out and hate being damp. I had a small amount of moss at the top of the pot, around the base of the stem to help catch any aerial roots and feed them back into the soil. (After doing this with one of my newest plants I have a 2 5 inch long roots after just two weeks that would dhave otherwise shriveled) Feed her regularly! You can either follow Planta schedule, but I fertilize with every watering! I water with arbors insecticide and fungicide(to help prevent disease and pests), superthrive plant food, a couple drops of hydrogen peroxide (for oxygenation), and silica! (Highly recommend this for all your plants) Soil! I do not recommend normal potting soil for these plants while it might be OK, an aroid mix works a lot better to help provide aeration for the roots, normal potting soil doesn’t have enough drainage and tends to keep the plant waterlogged and leads to root suffocation! if you do use normal potting soil add at least 25 to 30% of perlite Repot only if roots are rotted out or roots are taking up 70 to 90% of the soil! in a pot no bigger than one to 2 inches bigger than your root ball. Every time I get a new plant, I repot it and clean fresh soil and remove all soil that did not come from me. You can use one or all of these tips ! None are completely necessary, but all of these will help. Keep your plant score at closer to 100%.🤣 I wish I knew half of these when I first started out
2件のいいねWhat a life saver you are! I have it on a pebble tray for humidity with the alocasia and have been misting it a few times throughout the day I hope that’s enough? What kind of moss did you use for the aerial roots? I have instant plant food fertilizer tablets I was gonna start using when it warms up a bit with all my plants. I’ve honestly never fertilized before😂 and I’ve made my own soil mix with soil, orchid bark and perlite but I could always throw in a bit more with that one!
いいね 1件Anytime!! I think the pebble tray would work, but if you notice any yellowing maybe consider a small humidifier from facebook marketplace! That soil mix should be perfect! I use sphagnum or tree fern moss just nothing super cheapo I think the brand is super moss but I’m not sure. If you are interested, Sydney plant guy and YouTube in general has amazing and informative videos for all things plants and anthurium!
