App question: there was, at one time, a rain detection feature enabled using location services. This feature seems to have disappeared. We’re having historic rain in TX and the app has no clue and its screwing up fertilizing schedules. When did this rain detection stop and why? (Btw I can’t find a support link anymore, either.)

That’s so weird. Mine is working. I’m in Ohio and was able to tap the rain reported button at the top of the screen.

I had to twice label outside plants watered last week after rain when Planta did not give me the rain option to mark watered. Its supposed to rain today, and it hasn't yet. The app is now asking me if I want to mark plants watered. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣 At least it accurately gave me the option yesterday when we I was under severe storm warning and it poured cats and dogs. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yeah I mean so many of us have had such copious amounts of rain this summer; not a great time for it to quit for some. Gotta be a glitch so I’m glad I asked! That or they lost some reporting stations ☹️. Thanks for your input!

The rain option has not been removed. If it has rained and the app detects it, you should see a rain banner in the news feed where you can mark all your outdoor sites without a roof as rained. Just to double-check, could you go to Settings in the app and check the following? Under Notifications, make sure Weather alerts are enabled. Then go to News Feed settings, and confirm that Weather alerts are turned on there as well. Sometimes the app may not pick up on local rain if the assigned weather station doesn’t detect it. You can always mark rain manually: Tap the “+” button in the bottom right corner Choose “Add task to site” Select your outdoor site (without a roof) Then choose “Mark as rained”

Oh thanks for that last tip-didn’t know you could mark a whole site manually! That’s helpful. Confirmed all my settings are correct; I figure the closest station wasn’t detecting the rain we got.

Update: the last rain we had (about 1”) 10 days ago activated the “Mark Plants as watered” feature, thankfully. First time since June. And it has rained here in N Texas about every 10 days since late June. Not our usual summer but it’s welcome. For the first summer in 6 years our outdoor plants aren’t fried. Hoping the “watered” feature will keep it up.

This is crazy. Even with Premium Planta the “it has rained” banner only comes up half the time, if that. Literally every weather app says it’s raining. So where does Planta get its rain sources from?

It’s been working again in the last week to 2 weeks. Yay!
