Yeah they’re prone to pests too

0 Mi piaceThey can be hard. Their watering and humidity wants are pretty steep. I think that's why they list them like that. I personally love an ivy or ivy type plant. A self watering pot wouldn't be remiss
1 mi piaceOh I should be good then. I have humidifiers in both dining and living room for my others, I do like a challenge 😁

That my friend is English ivy. Whatever you do, do NOT plant it outside. It’s non native in the states and is super invasive
1 mi piaceNo worries there. I'm in Vermont. Though I'd love to have an outside garden, I rent... I dont have any plants outside, except my potted porch tomato.
0 Mi piaceI use two English ivy in an outdoor planter that gets a little morning sun and then I put them in a plastic pot indoors for winter. They’re looking great outside, and it seems to tolerate the indoors for the winter. I have another one that stays in the house year round (photo) that’s in a dark corner about 1.5 feet from an east facing bay window. I think you can make it work if you watch moisture levels!
2 Mi piaceDepends mine has been thriving for years ! You just have to have the right care
2 Mi piaceI got one of these a few years ago. At that point I had no idea how to care for plants so I just put it outside next to a sprinkler. Somehow it’s doing great and is climbing up my backyard fence. Ivy is supper hard to keep indoor so I recommend outdoor but if you do want it indoor make sure to water a good amount, give it light, and maybe give it something to climb.
1 mi piaceMelody is right about giving it something to climb, because it'll find something on its own if you don't 😂
