do you fertilizer in the winter? i always see people say not to, but if the plants get sufficient light and water, i dont see why we shouldnt feed them too

Yep, I do! Sometimes diluted a little more, but if there’s any amount of new/recent growth, they love food. Since houseplants are in controlled environments, they don’t experience quite the same extremities of seasons. I feed all year long. 🌿

Yep - they live under grow lights so they don’t know the difference.

My philosophy is that if they’re actively growing, you can feed them. If you’ve got supplemented light, heat, and humidity, they’ll probably keep growing like nothing has changed

yup, I fertilize all year long. if they’re growing, they need food. and a healthier plant will be able to withstand the shorter sun days and be less susceptible to bugs/pests.
1 LikeI use diluted liquid fertilizer in winter at 50 percent of the summer solution. My average house temperature is lower in winter. Plants grow slower and need less fertilizer.
