I got my first monstera (monstera adansonii)! If anyone has plant name ideas or any tips for this plant I will greatly appreciate it!

    I love naming my plants based on their characteristics, scientific name, or the way which I got them. “Swiss”, “Adan”, “Cheese”, “anita”, “Monsieur”, little silly things like that! May your plant prosper! :)

    I’ve found this plant can be really moody when watering gets inconsistent, like when it’s allowed to dry out for just a day or two too long.

      How often do you water it during the winter/summer?

      I do it based on how heavy the pot feels, but basically let the soil dry out between waterings. There is no set best amount of days, it depends on your environment, root to soil ratio, light levels, etc. Right now I’m watering every 8-10 days.
