I got this swiss cheese plant about two weeks ago and have had it under a grow light since. I changed the soil when I first got it but kept it in its nursery pot. Some of the leaves seem to be yellowing around the edges and new growth stays small and eventually turns yellow and then crispy brown. It also has some crunchy brown tips on some of the leaves. Can anyone tell me what to do in order to keep it happy?

how often are you watering? the swiss also like indirect light, so the grow light may be too harsh — burning the leaves and causing them to be crispy

i would also trim off any yellow leaves or dead areas to keep the plant from expending too much energy on those parts

I water when the soil is about half or almost fully dry

That sounds about right — with the yellowing and browning leaves I would try maybe waiting a bit longer between waterings and maybe adding a humidifier if youve got one. Also just a heads up to add a moss pole in there when it gets a little larger! They love to climb and its a great way to get new growth and easily water

the same thing had happened to my swiss, and i moved it to a shelf near the window instead of my grow light shelf, trimmed it, cut back on watering, and added a pole —- and no more yellowing!! she even put out some new shoots and i just had my first leaf unfurl 😢😢
