They thrive in most conditions - light, partial light, and they need to be watered once soil is dried a bit. Where is yours placed? Does it have drainage? Can you salvage some cuttings to propagate and start over?

Overwatering is the fastest way to kill a spider plant. Spider plants have thick fleshy roots that store water. The soil needs to dry between watering. Under watering is the second fastest way to kill it leaving it so dry the tips become crispy brown Low light can slow kill it too. The leaves fade and droop losing the distinct crisp lines between the colors. Plant owners can wrongly assume drooping leaves mean it needs more water and over water. The spider plant thrives in bright indirect light. Water when the soil is completely dry. Fertilize at least once a month with diluted fertilizer. Plant vitamins (SuperThrive) and higher humidity levels also helps it to thrive.

Thank you. Many plants have sacrificed so I can learn that fact! 😂

I have had little luck with them in the house. Put out on my deck (sf Bay Area) and went crazy. Put it in filtered sun. Babies galore.
