Bought plants that didn’t have a weather protection option, and they arrived dead. However, I don’t think that was the issue. They were starter plants in 3” pots, that were both unsecured and had no packing protection, and they arrived in a beat up 2 foot box, with half of it completely open from the tape not sticking. I’ve ordered 3 plants from EBay and nothing like this has ever happened. They were PPP and Colocasia Mojito. I had to piece the one that actually arrived, dead, but here, back together. It came with tape smudged against every leaf but one, which ripped the whole thing from the root system. I’m furious, but I’ve learned my lesson. Guess which ones which!

Oh no that sucks 😖 And let me guess, they’re not offering any compensation? Sorry that happened to you I know they’re usually more expensive, but I prefer buying from shop websites. If they offer pay with PayPal, I choose that so I would be able to dispute with PayPal if the seller ghosts me. Even choosing Etsy over eBay, there’s still some bad eggs, but you can see the number of reviews and sales a seller has. I won’t buy from someone who doesn’t have at least about 1,000 sales or more with an average rating of at least 4 stars. And like with PayPal, if they try to rip you off, you can dispute through Etsy. I hope this experience doesn’t ruin plant ordering for you

Also that’s absolutely wild that the put two tiny plants in a box that big. Like what was the seller even thinking?

They offered a full refund. I showed them all the pictures, and luckily they realized how awful it was packaged.
