Is is too late for this Rosemary? Today my partner was saying it’s probably time to give up and throw it out, but I just set us up on Planta and I’m going to try to resuscitate. Do you think this is a worthwhile undertaking? Planta thinks it’s under watered, which might be the case, but apparently she had been pretty on top of the watering. The soil was very dry but it’s definitely still quite wet a half hour after watering.

    It’s probably dead. Rosemary can’t survive freezing temperatures unless it’s indoors or is protected from colder weather with mulch or other materials while in the ground. Check the roots to see if any are alive. Toss it if they are are dead.

      It doesn’t freeze here. I’m in Southern California, zone 11a. Do you mind explaining to me how I can check the roots and what about them would tell me if it’s dead or not?
