I found this plant on the shelf at Target, with no roots and totally dried out on the bottom. Can anyone tell me what this plant is? Thanks in advance.

this looks like a cylinder snake plant to me that has been forced to grow in a braiding pattern. my advice is to unbraid it, this will make it a lot happier.

Thank you! I appreciate it so much! I looked up what you said and this looks exactly like it.

i actually just rescued one of these for a friend. it was hydrophobic and slightly rootbound since it was potted too deep in a tiny pot. chances are it’s just some rooted cuttings in peat-based soil. i would shake away the old soil and mix it with perlite and pumice for drainage, then repot

There was no soil. It was literally just sitting on the shelf. Not in a pot and there was no evidence of any roots. I just put some rooting hormone on it and repotted it in cactus/succulent soil. Hopefully it roots in the next couple of weeks.
