i’ve had these cuttings of my coffee plant in water since 10/23 and just this week they just pushed out roots. just as i was about to say f it and toss them! have any of you ever propped your arabica plant? did it take this long and did it thrive after you got some substantial roots growing? i originally chopped my plant bc i wanted to grow this for my best friends new home but my goodness it takes so long 😂 also, heart prop tube is from target for $3 - yes you need one too

It took so long to grow roots because of a couple of reasons: the leaf node where new roots grow was not under water and the plant’s energy was spent supporting those large lower leaves. Cut off all the lower leaves. They are sucking energy. They are blocking the root/leaf node from getting under water. Leave only 2 to 3 leaves at the top node. Place the cutting with the leaf/root node under water. Add SuperThrive to the water at 1 drop per 4 ounce of water, per label directions. You should see additional root growth in about 2 to three weeks. 🍀🪴

Looks great! Remember to add the SuperThrive. It smells like liquid baby vitamins. It really helps with root growth.
