Does anyone have any ideas or inspo pics for hanging plants that wouldn’t require putting a hole in the ceiling or wall? I really want to hang some of mine, but don’t want to put holes in the house if there’s a way to avoid it!

Ooohhh, this will definitely work for one that I want to hang! The other is too big, part of why I need to hang it. It’s in our bay window right now, and I’m afraid it’s going to get yanked down when we pull the curtains open and close them. It’s a viney plant, so it’s sticking out all over 😂 But I’m going to try that for the other smaller one for sure, so thank you!!

You’re welcome! All of my plants that I hang in the window seem to love it

Look for wall hanging planters at your local nursery. Or for hanging planter wall hooks. They have some that require drilling holes in the wall not the ceiling. Or get a tall plant stand and put a Pothos, Hoya, or other similar type of plant that would hang down out of the pot on it.

Unfortunately, I don’t really have any local nurseries. But I’m sure I could look something similar up on Amazon. Thank you!

I saw someone on YouTube thrift an old ornate floor lamp with a bowl shape shade on top, take out the bulb and electric parts, set a thrifted short glass bowl inside the shade to be used as a drip tray and set a cascading plant in it. It looked gorgeous! I can’t put holes in my walls because I live in an older home with plaster, not dry wall, so I’ve been researching other options. I’ve been thrifting to look for the perfect lamp to experiment with myself. I know I will find one eventually. I also think that a few different floor lamps put in a space together would be a nice look, imo. Here’s a pic. Good luck!

I absolutely LOVEEEE this idea!! This is so cool, I never would’ve thought to do this. It looks so nice too, it doesn’t seem like they’re lamps, it makes it look like it was meant for the plant! I’m definitely going to look for some old floor lamps and try it out. Thank youuu!

You’re welcome! I love going thrifting where my only mission is to find unique items I can use to display my plants (vessels you wouldn’t normally use as a pot or unconventional items I use or convert into simple plant stands). It’s so fun to envision someone else’s junk DIY’ed into a beautiful plant display!! Just love it. For example, I’ll attach a pic of a wrought iron candle holder (probably) that is now officially my new plant display! Picked it up last week for $1. Score!! Lol.

Maybe it will be one of YOUR donated lamps that I will find in my thrifting adventures! Lol. The lamp idea really made me rethink the thrifting scene and my intentions when I go. 😊

You can thrift tall stools as well, and them or stain them. There are acrylic shelves with suction cups that attach to your windows. But that may not work for heavier plants. You might want to check FB marketplace for tall plant stands or narrow or corner bookcases as well.
