I’m curious about misting plants like how much and how often, I mostly have succulents and cacti and I’m assuming that you don’t mist those but I also have a money tree and I’m wondering If I should just that?

Most plants don’t need misting. They need a humidifier with tiny water vapor that dries before attracting mold and mildew on the leaves. Misting leaves large water droplets they dry slower. I mist to keep seeds and seedlings moist during germination. I also mist succulent leaves during propagation to help them root. I mist to help a dry new leaf unfurl. I would use a humidifier if my plants are too dry. I’ve had mold and fungal growth on my plants from living in a high humidity region. It’s difficult to completely eradicate without losing a few plants.

So misting is only necessary if the plants are lacking the water intake they need?

I was in the trades HVACR and I asked a Dr. about this and he said 35% for good health. I our house at 45% because of the many acoustic guitars I Have

I have a large collection that includes all varieties of plants, including many “rares” and I mist them all every morning. They are all thriving. I think misting helps keep the leaves clean too. I do run grow lights and a Vornado humidifier.
