I have this one little leaf on my new elephant plant that is browning around the edges and was wondering why this is and how I can stop it? I’ve been watering it regularly and it’s by a window

It could just be the cause of moving from a store/greenhouse to your home. Since it’s not a major leaf, the best thing would probably be to cut it off so the plant doesn’t have to focus energy on it.

That soil doesn’t look airy enough

That’s the standard coco coir soil that came with my newest alocasias. Holds a lot of water. But, dries out rather quickly. My alocasias like it.

Looks to be a very large pot, and the soil might not be drying out quick enough. I’d recommend repotting it to a pot only 1 or 2 inches bigger than the root ball to keep it from sitting in wet soil.
