Hiii! Does anyone know what is wrong with my plant?? I’ve had her for a year now and she’s always been a healthy and easy plant to care for. Recently she’s been loosing leaves and having dead or dry spots. It says this plant is suppose to get a lot of sun so I put it in a window with a good amount of sunlight. Is it getting too much sun?? or is it over/under watered??? Thank you! :)

Looks like it’s time to salvage some cuttings and start the plant over.

Check really thoroughly for spider mites. That’s exactly what happened to mine when it was under attack.

Oh.. poor plant! It’s a variegated pixie ivy (hedra helix?) I have one & they don’t like direct sun, like their soil on the slightly damp side. Yours has gotten too dry 😢 Try looking at the stems for rough spots (possible places where roots may grow) I have mine directly in a window that is west facing, so it’s bright light but no hot sun.. it’s more on the partly shady side. I have a humidifier I run constantly right next to it, most of the rooms in my house tend to be on the dry side. I’d lost one before realizing they thrive best in high humidity.. it got crispy & died. I didn’t know back then if I’d checked its stems to see if they were still green, I could’ve tried rooting some 🤷🏻‍♀️😩

I’d been misting my plant daily, in the mornings to encourage it to push out new growth.. We have our heat on now, up north here.. so our air in our house is even more dry. I’d definitely recommend a cool mist humidifier. I have a very basic one that’s meant for kids rooms 😂 but it holds a gallon of water & I fill it every 2 days. I run it on a low/medium setting where my humidity loving plants are. Grouping plants together that have similar care/humidity requirements also helps create a more ideal environment for plants.. they keep more steady humidity levels together 🤷🏻‍♀️😁👍🏻
