plant addiction
i planted some tradescantia cuttings i had in water (they had thin roots on) but every cutting just flopped over and the stems went soft, does anyone know why? they’ve all been put in the bin now.

I’ve propagated both directly in soil as well as first in water then to soil, and have had much better luck just sticking it in the soil. I make a hole with a chopstick then stick the cutting in, good luck!

Probably too much water in the soil and not enough root growth for soil
