Okay, so I know you’re not supposed to fertilize or repot in winter…but like what if they really need it?! My golden pothos has been dropping all its leaves for like 2 months 😥

Thank you both!!!
1 likeI have a plant that is in much need of repotting and didn’t have time for it when the weather was warmer. I’ve been mulling this over and I’ve decided that I need to weigh the benefits and risks. Adhering to a guideline like not repotting in winter may be best for most situations, but there are always exceptions that for me require my best judgment. Guidelines are just that, guidelines. 😉 Best wishes with your repot. 🪴
3 likesI do everything I need to do in winter to make my indoor plants happy. This includes repotting. I fertilize once per month for most plants with diluted fertilizer. I water a lot less because most of my plants grow slower in winter. I add grow lights to give them adequate lighting.

This has happened to my pothos too. I’ve ended up cutting them down and using them propagate. Once they lose some length, they usually grow back more full and healthy
